The sale of the Ubuntu Bracelets generates direct funding for treatment to parents, treatment for children, school supplies, nutritional support, safety from violence, and secure shelter.
The Orphan Bracelet Campaign has been growing and thriving for the past two years. Currently we employ 70-100 women crafters living with HIV/AIDS. Fulltime employment is solely dependent on bracelet sales.
This sustainable income provides a safety net for these women and their children allowing them to live with pride and dignity. Over the last two years we have worked out production and distribution kinks and we have launched our campaign into the global marketplace. To further this goal we have hired, PRB PR, a Beverly Hills firm, to attract a Celebrity Spokesperson.
Secondly, we are seeking funds to produce a
coffee table book to document "The Journey of the Ubuntu Orphan bracelet
from Mud Hut to Mansion".
These children need our help, as do the women
living with HIV/AIDS who are struggling in poverty to take care of
themselves and their children.
The Orphan Bracelet campaign emulates the ancient African ethos, commonly known as Ubuntu.
This campaign lives the spirit of Ubuntu initially by creating sustainable income for women living with HIV/AIDS.
It continues on an international level by people who understand that by buying and promoting the Orphan Bracelet they are creating an intimate human connection with the women crafters, and their children thus helping them help themselves.
Profits from bracelet sales go directly to providing orphan children with food, education, and shelter.
